You need to do these five safety checks before diving
There are many equipment problems that can be discovered in the safety inspection before diving with your partner. If something really happens, it might be better to have it happen in the water than we can find and rule out before diving!
When you are ready to dive into the sea, it is of paramount importance to carry out pre-dive safety checks with your dive buddies. From the beginning of the dive equipment to the beginning of the dive, there are many unexpected situations that may occur. If something really happens, it may not be better to have it happen in the water than let us discover and eliminate it before diving! So, let's start the five safety checks before diving.
1. Air source opening (Airon)
Viewing only your residual pressure table index does not mean that the gas cylinder must be full. In the first safety inspection, you must breathe through the secondary head and check the residual pressure table at the same time. If, in each breath, the index of the residual pressure gauge continuously decreases, it means that the cylinder valve is closed. You can let your dive buddy help you open the cylinder valve. If the residual pressure gauge index keeps moving up and down during breathing, it means that your cylinder valve is only slightly open. Please ask your dive buddy to help you again. Fully open the cylinder valve. Checking your spare air supply is also through breathing, and it is also possible to confirm the spare air position of your partner, because if you are in an exhausted emergency, this will help you find the exact location of the spare air for your partner. !
2. Buoyancy Control Device (BCD)
Inflate your BCD and check for leaks. Have your coworker check your BCD and see if there are significant differences from others. See if your low pressure inflatable hose is in the same place with them? Let your dive partner understand your equipment configuration on the water. If you need any help in the water, your dive partner will have an impression of your equipment configuration, which will make it easier for you to solve the problem. Remember to keep your BCD on the water until you dive.
3. Computer Watch (Computeron)
Make sure your computer is up and running. Check if there is enough power to complete this dive. Make sure the watch is strapped. Finally, check that your gas settings are correct to avoid getting an incorrect no-decompression dive time while diving.
4. Diving equipment complete (Diveequipmentcomplete)
Before launching, make sure that personal equipment and diving equipment are complete, including any of the equipment required for masks, flippers, breathing tubes, counterweights, dive lights, or diving flashlights.
5. Enter the Water
According to your diving environment, choose the best way to enter the water, it may be back-rolling, step-style, or simply walk into the water from the shore. 4 Every time you dive, the safety check at the beginning is very important. This will allow you to once again confirm that your equipment is complete and ready to go into the water. These steps must eliminate potential problems before launching, and you need to be familiar with the equipment and configuration of your potential partners. Be sure to spend a few seconds checking the equipment before diving! Do not ignore safety checks before diving!
