Brinyte XP22MK3 Scorpion: Low-Profile Weapon Light & Green Laser Combo for AR-15 14.55mm low-profile rail mount · 1600 lumens · green laser combo

Standard tactical weapon lights sit 28–35mm above your rail — blocking red dots, LPVOs, and magnifiers before you pull the trigger.

The XP22 MK3 Scorpion weapon light mounts at just 14.55mm — one of the lowest-profile rail-mounted flashlights on the market — completely clearing every optic including LPVOs, red dots, and magnifiers. Paired with an independent Class IIIa green laser combo, it gives AR-15 builders, patrol officers, and home defense owners one complete rifle light laser combo with no mode-cycling, no barrel shadow, no extra rail space.

🔦 How the Dual-Head Design Eliminates Barrel Shadow

Single-head tactical weapon lights place one emitter offset from the bore, creating a dark shadow cone directly in front of your muzzle. This barrel shadow can hide a threat's hands or a critical obstacle in close-quarters situations — a fundamental flaw in conventional gun light design.

The XP22 MK3 Scorpion's dual-head configuration offsets two CREE XP-G3 emitters symmetrically — each fills the other's shadow zone — producing a 180° balanced flood with zero barrel shadow. It's also the best weapon light that won't block LPVO or red dot magnifiers, solving both problems standard gun lights can't.

Why the XP22 MK3 Scorpion Wins on the Rail

  • Scorpion Dual-Head Design: Twin emitters produce a 180° shadow-free flood — no barrel shadow. The Scorpion silhouette isn't cosmetic; it's the architecture that solves the single-head shadow problem.
  • Independent Dual Switches: Left = white light (high / low / strobe). Right = green laser (momentary / constant). A true rifle light laser combo with independent switches — no mode cycling, no confusion under stress.
  • Lowest Profile Rail Mount: 14.55mm — one of the most low-profile rifle weapon light for top rail mounting. Won't block LPVO, red dot, or magnifier. 40% shorter than standard gun lights at 28–35mm.
  • Class IIIa Green Laser: 515–532nm, adjustable windage & elevation. Zero at 10–25m. Green is ~4× more visible than red to the human eye at equivalent power — daylight-usable in shaded and indoor environments.
  • Charge On the Rail: Magnetic USB — no need to remove your weapon-mounted light to charge. Pass-through operation supported. ~2h full charge.
  • Recoil-Proven Build: CNC 6061-T6 aluminum, Type III HAIII anodized, IP66, 1m drop-rated. Survived 500 recoil vibration tests with laser zero maintained.
  • Electronic Lockout: Hold both buttons 3 seconds — prevents accidental activation of your rail-mounted flashlight in a safe or range bag.

XP22 MK3 Scorpion vs. The Alternatives — Best Weapon Light 2026

The core advantage in plain language: At 14.55mm, the XP22 MK3 is the only sub-$150 low-profile weapon light that combines a verified 1600-lumen white LED with an independent green laser combo, on-rail magnetic USB charging, and a dual-head design that eliminates both barrel shadow and LPVO obstruction — in a single unit.

Built for Every Tactical & Field Application

🎯 AR-15 Light & Patrol Rifle Setup

Running a Vortex Razor, Trijicon Credo HX, or Primary Arms PLxC? The 14.55mm Scorpion mounts on top rail without touching your optic's field of view. Independent switches let you activate light or laser instantly — no fumbling. Optional RM18 remote pressure switch for two-handed activation.

🏠 Rechargeable Home Defense Gun Light

The most common home defense weapon light failure is a dead battery. Magnetic USB charging solves it permanently. Left switch = 1600-lumen white for target ID. Right switch = green laser for fast acquisition without shouldering. No mode cycling in a high-stress situation.

🦺 Duty Weapon Light — Law Enforcement

IP66 waterproof, 1m drop-rated, HAIII-anodized aircraft aluminum, 500-round recoil tested. Charges on-rail between shifts. Independent dual switches prevent light/laser confusion in dynamic situations. Reviewed by Soldier Systems Daily as a reliable patrol rifle duty weapon light.

🦌 Night Hunting & Varmint Control Green Laser

Green (515–532nm) is ~4× more detectable to the human eye than red at equivalent power. Zero at 10–25m for precise shot placement. The dual-head eliminates the barrel shadow eclipse that causes misidentification with single-head lights — no dark cone hiding the target.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions — XP22 MK3 Scorpion Light
Will the XP22 MK3 block my LPVO or red dot magnifier?
No. At 14.55mm, the XP22 MK3 is the best weapon light that won't block LPVO or any standard red dot. It clears Vortex Razor Gen 3, SIG Tango-MSR, EOTech, Trijicon Credo HX, and Primary Arms LPVOs — no riser needed.
How does the dual-head design eliminate barrel shadow?
Single-emitter weapon lights create a dark shadow cone in front of your muzzle. The XP22 MK3's dual-head places two CREE XP-G3 emitters on opposite sides of the housing — each fills the other's shadow — producing a 180° flood with zero barrel shadow. Every part of your threat zone is illuminated equally.
How visible is the green laser in daylight compared to indoors?
The Class IIIa green laser (515–532nm) is approximately 4× more detectable to the human eye than red at equivalent power levels. Indoors and in low-light outdoor conditions it is clearly visible at 25+ yards. In bright direct sunlight the dot is harder to see — which is normal for all visible lasers. Best zeroed at 10–25m for practical use in hunting and home defense.
Is the XP22 MK3 truly recoil-proof? Does the laser hold zero after firing?
Yes. The XP22 MK3 passed 500 consecutive vibration and recoil tests with green laser zero maintained throughout. CNC 6061-T6 aluminum body, IP66 waterproof, 1m drop-rated. Tested for AR-15 rifle-caliber recoil. Reviewed by Soldier Systems Daily as suitable for actual combat scenarios.
Does the XP22 MK3 work on M-LOK handguards?
Yes, with a separately purchased M-LOK to Picatinny adapter (not included). Mount the adapter to your M-LOK slot first, then clamp the XP22 MK3 to the Picatinny section it creates. Compatible with any M-LOK AR-15, carbine, or PCC handguard.
Is the XP22 MK3 a good home defense gun light?
Yes. 1600 lumens for instant threat ID, independent green laser for fast acquisition without shouldering, strobe for deterrence, electronic lockout for safe storage, and magnetic USB charging so it's always ready — no dead-battery surprises at 3am. No mode cycling means left switch = light, right switch = laser, every time.
How do the independent switches work?
Left button = white light (high / low / strobe). Right button = green laser (momentary / constant). Press both simultaneously for white + laser combo. Hold both 3 seconds for electronic lockout. No mode cycling — each function has its own dedicated switch.
Is the XP22 MK3 a good duty weapon light for law enforcement?
Yes. IP66 waterproof, 1m drop-rated, HAIII-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, 500 recoil tests passed, on-rail magnetic charging between shifts. Independent dual switches prevent light/laser confusion in dynamic situations. Reviewed by Soldier Systems Daily and CandlePowerForums as a reliable patrol rifle duty weapon light.
Can I use the light while it's charging?
Yes — pass-through operation is fully supported. Both white light and green laser remain functional while connected to USB power.
How long does the battery last and how long does it take to charge?
The built-in 1100mAh Li-Po delivers 65 minutes sustained runtime at full 1600-lumen output, or 1.5-minute burst. Full charge via magnetic USB takes approximately 2 hours. Battery retains 80% capacity after 500+ charge cycles. Magnetic on-rail charging means the light charges between sessions without ever removing it from your rifle.

Huge value, great quality, amazing experience!

The Brinyte XP 22 Scorpion is super easy to use. The easy connect charging system makes charging a breeze without having to remove the light if you do not want to. The connection is magnetic and quickly connects and releases. The slim design fits well on my rail without movement. It clips easily on the rail with a push of a button and can be removed just as easily. The pressure switch is simple to use and is convenient. The lockout mode can quickly be turned off with a 5 second press. Once unlocked, with a simple single push, you can get a very bright, white light to increase your visibility quickly and efficiently. It is super bright and perfect for both close quarters and distant. It also provide a strobe function which adds another layer of defense.Love that the light is able to he quickly attached and removed without the need of any tools. No extra tools needed to be carried with you or added to your range bag.It can be used in many other functions as well including camera set up, helmet, or even with a bow. Anything with a simple rail system allows you to connect the light for added illumination. Quick, easy and on the fly connection to increase visibility.1300 lumens illuminates perfectly bright. The beam is a great combination of flood and centralized beam which extend nicely even at greater distances.I found that the light can also be connected to a camera tripod with a rail as well. This made for a quick and very capable light that could be used for all types of home repair, outdoor uses, and illumination of all kinds making this light even more useful.Highly recommend this powerful, compact light. It is a great value with great quality and versatility.

Very bright light

I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed by the brightness of this light. It goes on & off the pic rail very smoothly.

Minimalist, sleek, and easy to use!

I recently added this light to my AR-15, and it’s been a fantastic upgrade. Installation was quick and tool-free—it clamped securely to the rail with a solid, no-wobble fit.The brightness is impressive, delivering a crisp, white beam that lights up the environment clearly with excellent color temperature. The strobe feature is a great bonus for tactical applications or emergency signaling. One standout feature is the magnetic charger. It’s extremely convenient—you can recharge the light without removing it from the rifle or disassembling anything. Just snap the charger on and you’re good to go.If there’s one thing I’d like to see improved, it would be the option to adjust the lumen output. A lower-power setting would be useful for indoor use or preserving battery life in less demanding conditions.Overall, this is a high-quality, user-friendly light that performs exceptionally well and offers great convenience right out of the box.

What more could I ask for?

This company is known for quality lights. All of the ones I have purchased from them are excellent! This light does not disappoint! It fits perfectly onto my rail and shines out there a great distance and lights things up very well. It's great that with the new one I'll be able to put center sights on it. I just want steel sights only for that rifle. The pictures you see where I'm closer to the wall I took an hour and a half apart. I took the first picture with a full charge and the second picture I took after the light had been left on for an hour and a half. It did not feel hot at all. I can hold it in my hand very easily and it wasn't even warm after an hour and a half.On the distance picture my camera was zoomed in a bit and I couldn't fix it.I love how it just has one brightness and a strobe. That brightness as you can see from the picture I took stays very consistent throughout the life of the battery. The other lights that I've had dim as the battery life goes out. This one seems to stay consistent from the first turn on until I charged it again. They have hit a home run with this light! I love how there are no cords dangling to get caught in anything or to have to tape down. There's not a switch to fall off your rail, and it’s lightweight and bright. You can get a lot of lights out there that say they're a thousand lumens but when you compare them with a really good light with a thousand lumens you can see that the cheap ones really aren't that bright. This one is 1,300 lumens and shines out there a long ways and brightens everything up. It works great for my needs! What else could you ask for? It’s easy to deploy the light and easy to turn it off. Not only does it work well but it looks pretty bad ass also. It’s low profile which will be great for my sites. I really can’t think of anything that I would change on it. It’s perfect! I’ve dealt with this company before and it’s a great company to work with.

My favorite headlamp

I've had this headlamp in the field for about 6 weeks now and I love it. I use it for predator hunting. I'm running thermal scopes so I don't use it for locating coyotes while calling, I use it for walking into spots and for recovering yotes after shooting. First off the battery life is great and it is very well built. I love having the multiple colors without having to switch bulbs out. I own other lights that are manufactured by companies that tailor to predator and varmint hunting and this beats them in just about every category except maybe brightness. This is really exactly what I was wanting in a light. I use the red on the dimmest setting for walking in and setting up, then when it comes time to find what I've shot I use the white light. I feel like the flood pattern on this one is better than some of the hunting brands too. The battery life indicator is a nice feature as well. As long as I have this headlamp I won't be reaching for the others I have, this one is my favorite.

Excellent light

I’ve been messing around with it on my AR-10 for a little while now and I have to say I’ve been happy with how it’s performed. It’s got excellent light output, a nice spread-down range, and reaches pretty far. I like how the dual beam helps mitigate blind spots as well. It’s well built and feels high quality with the materials used. The toggle is the perfect place for easy engagement and is a very low profile so it doesn’t interfere with my optic. Definitely check it out if you’re looking for a new light to run on your rifle, it’s also easily removed with its mounting mechanism on your pic rail.

Really like this tactical light

So I purchased this light and my first impression was this thing is off dahook amazing. It's sleek designed, low profile and light weight, just super.

I first mounted it on my Kidon conversion pistol and with the duel lights it looks awesome. Turned it on and it was like "BLING" it was super bright, the brightest tactical light I have to date.

I have several model Olight's, QR-Laser and Feyachi light's and this Brinyte has been far my best light for the price and has moved to my #1 tactical light.

I really like the dual lights and how they engineered it to focused in on one target area but has a good range of brightness. I love the fact that it has a magnetic charger with a built in battery for quick charge and detach.

I also was able to mount it on my AR-15 and it looks great on top of that thing without obstructing the Red Dot or the fixed flip up sights.
I then tried it on my Hi-Point JXP10 pistol using the under picatinny rail mount and surprisingly it worked great and with the Large thumb screw attachment you can tighten it down to where it won't move during recoil.

Professional quality

Wow this headlight is really well made! It is very rugged. The machining tolerances are tight. It is professional quality. I'm a wildland firefighter. This will be the headlamp I use. It is really bright. Easily dimmable. Both flood and spotlight adjustable. And it has both red and green light settings as well as white. So when I come up to talk to someone in the dark, I can easily switch to red or green and not blind the person. It comes with 2 big batteries that are rechargeable. The charger is usb and connects to the light via magnetic port. If you are a pro, or want the best, this is the headlamp for you.

BRINYTE XP22 Scorpion Low Profile Light

High quality low profile dual head tactical (gun) light. Everything about this light is professionally made and works well. Features are 1300 lumin solid and strobe settings, and a lockout switch so you don't accidentally turn it on. It has a long battery charge. Manufacture says it is made of T6 aluminum with military grade 3 anodizing. It feels dense and solid and the anodizing feels durable. The lens are made of glass. It easily mounts to a picatinny rail and when tightened down does not rattle. There is a tab behind the lights that fits in the rail slot that makes it a very solid mount. It is low profile which does not interfere with your optics. It has a magnetic charging cable included. It's very cool and unique looking when installed. The manufacturer shows it mounted to a variety of applications that would fit a picatinny rail.

The only flashlight you'll ever need!

This is the best flashlight I've ever owned. The Brinyte HL28 Artemis LED is able to zoom and expand, change from red to green to white, and provides visibility to several hundred yards. This is great for predator hunting, as well as spotlighting deer. I can wear it while riding my ebike to my treestand, and then dim it down to red so I don't spook any game. This is a game changer in my hunting arsenal. My family will also be using it camping this summer, and we love the hands-free design. The magnetic charging port is very convenient. Well worth the money.

The brightest gun light

This light is a lot brighter than my olight gun lights and half the price. Its quick to mount/dismount and can be charged while mounted. Its a much smaller profile than I expected when ordering and the twin beam blends into one down range and is much brighter than I expected.

Amazing low profile design!

This is by far my favorite rail mounted light. The low profile design allows it to be mounted on a top rail without blocking optics. The dual lights almost eliminate barrel shadows compared to single source rail lights. It has a decent range for how small the lights are, and is very bright for its size as well.

Outstanding gun light with some really cool features! Well built and EXTREMELY bright!

I was recommended this brand by a friend of mine and thought I'd give it a shot. I really like the design and it is very low profile on a picatinny rail. I also use it on my mountain bike helmet with a stick on picatinny adapter. It is EXTREMELY bright and the focal point is quite concentrated which is perfect for its intended use. It can even be used independently but it is a bit awkward to hold. Overall the manufacturer did a fantastic job in its design and it is very well built. The machining is top notch and the coating looks great. I like the switch in the back- very simple to use, no manual required. The magnetic charging cable is really cool and works as well on another light that I have with the same feature. This has become my favorite way to charge a light. I really didn't expect such a small and low-profile light to be so bright, but man does this thing throw a beam. Well done guys, thanks for designing such a useful light at a good price.

Absolutely love the low-profile design and how bright this light is. I haven't had the chance to test whether the laser holds zero yet, but the flashlight alone is worth the money. Based on the quality so far, I have every reason to believe the laser will perform just as well.

I have it mounted on my Kel-Tec Sub 2000 CQB, and it fits the platform perfectly.
